State-level Nanjing Importing and Exporting Processing Zone was approved to be set up by State Council on March 10th, 2003 and was put into operation in the same year after the inspection by eight ministries of the State Council on September 28th. It has a closed customs area of 1.5 km².
The administrative committees, Customs, Inspection institution are available in the Zone, which implements the managerial system of solving problems within the Zone. In order to meet the purpose of “a declaration, a trial, and a check”, the Zone provides 24-hours customs service to companies there. The companies in the Zone enjoy not only the preferential policy in taxation, processing trade and exchange management, but also enjoy all kinds of preferential policy for state-level development zone. The Zone is equipped with municipal infrastructure and supporting service institutions as banks, foreign trade agency, logistics and storage, which enable companies in the zone to settle down issues without going out of the Zone.
